you told me you’d love me
but left me standing there, alone
what do you expect of me
sit there and wait by the phone?

thinking of you makes me feel bad
these feelings seem to tear me apart
bringing me to my knees
hurt,like a dart forced through my heart

don’t know what I should think
don’t know what to feel
could cry all night
want our hearts to heal

how will i laugh tomorrow
when i can't even smile today
