He promised he’d be careful He called and said he’d be home soon Then something went terribly wrong We got a call form the police They said it was bad news “Excuse me but this is an emergency” Right away I knew Daddy was hurt The man said he tried to save him The time just wasn’t right May daddy had been drinking And then he had died that night. |
