And a part of him died
and a part of her cried
No future to hope for
no past to think of
Just some looks and smiles
Words that were said
and are forgotten now
You’ll just get hurt
Like always
So smile, while a part of you cries
and a part of him dies
Somewhere in the distance, one day
you’ll hear a voice
that’ll remind you of him
You will stop and think of him
And the moment of peace will come
Taking you softly to the time
When a part of you died
and a part of him cried.

Thanks all,

I wrote this poem when I was saying goodbye to someone that meant a lot to me. He didn't die, but I felt like he was gone forever and that a part of me died with him.....
