Here's some lyrics I wrote today. Any comments would be most appreciated. Verse: Sanguine tears for dying sun Besmear a mother’s face Evidence, self-evident Eminent disgrace Verse: Thorns crown defiant brow Nails in faithless hands Sacrifice the soul of man Blood soaked holy land Verse: Cursed cross of a suicide Unto possession led Forgotten words of Jesus Paint the wall blood red Verse: Vow of preservation Inviting sure decay Holy façade crumbling Consecrate in flame Refrain: One by one wounds of Christ Manifest in me Five degrees of purity Suffuse, incarnadine Chorus: Suffer this benediction Five wounds of Christ Living crucifixion Bloody divine rites Bridge: Faith defies reason Cardinal treason Divine right to divide Crucify this messenger Exorcise a lie |
