(G'day. I haven't posted here in years now! Here's a poem I wrote recently... hope you like it.)

i hate you
for making me shake inside
making me cringe
and answerable
for everything i do.

how dare you
belittle me, make fun
of who i am
and what i do...
instantly criticising.

how can you
call me your
precious one.

say you love me
more than anything.

and then
kick me in the
guts.

i hate you
for taking away
me.

Even though, I know this hurts, you wrote of the rejection very well.

ok... l like this... ethels' right, you've painted the pain of rejection very well, and made it possible even for someone who's never been rejected (in that way, l mean) to know what it's like, or relate to it, in some way.
thank you for a nice, heart felt read.
laurie.
