A sudden rush
a tingling surge
naive nudges and silly smiles
flirtatious fragments and gleeful giggles
fidgety friction
light brushes and dancing desires
subtle stares convey muted madness
wanton whispers soften the static stages
intense impulses gratify carnal cravings
but the end of this is near.

You’re going down
you’re fading out-- a harsh reminder of prosthetic pleasure
a desperate dive is made
to salvage seduction
though it never works out as planned
coerced “couple”
rushed “romance”
personalities paralyzed
hopes halted
altered ambitions
false fixtures
tedious tasks
comfortable conformities
suffocating sensation
ideals intoxicated
desires drugged
soul smothered.

the high wares off
the magic’s gone
depression's back
a lapse of loneliness
boredom beckons
a fix is needed....
A sudden rush
a tingling surge
your in the game again...
but the end will come
it always does
the end is always near.

and the next time round
perhaps you’ll drown
into a deep despair
but you’ll take the risk
to get your fix
though the end is always near.

Wow, what an excellent first post. My favorite tool of poetry is alliteration, so it is no wonder that I loved this poem. I really love the ending, how you show the vicious circle and tell how the game begins again...very well done!

Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end...
