The image of your face
Etching in my dreams
Knowing the nightmare will begin
As I start to scream
The warmth I once felt
The nutrients of your veins
The poison of my sins
Staring at ice and flames
Replaying of my thoughts
And the love we once shared
The taking of your soul
The anger has only flared
Don't turn away so quickly
Our lives have only begun
I am searching for your inner being
And I think I have actually won
The truth to your heart
The knowledge of your mind
Little did I realize
That's all I would find

A friend, like a candle, is most needed in the darkness.
