FINDING MYSELF Finding myself again, is harder than before. I know who I am now, but I always wanted more. I'm my biggest critic. I'm never good enough. An ant in this cruel world. No room to show my stuff. A hermit to this place, afraid to show my face. Scared of what they'll think, of a past I can't erase. Won't settle for less than perfect, when it comes to me. Until then I hide, my flaws they'll never see. I am now a number, no meaning in my name. Making friends gets harder, it'll never be the same. The shell I thought I left behind, finds me once again. I'm so scared, don't wanna cry, and so I crawl back in.   ELMO |
