Hush ...
Not a word for it
Hurting knows quiet.
But by my eyes and hands
Hurt knows me best.

I am an open sore
Some walking wound.
With a edge of dry gore
Hard to touch-
Unbearable, insufferable,
Uncured, and wide
Like a mile.
Dried to a tight crust,
Redder than the choking gills
Of a fish out of water
Wet, flailing at the air,
At the terrible blood-
That can't be mine.

I can't bear to be touched,
Screaming never dies-
I fade to my hair
And shrink like a child.
I shiver and shake
Whatever's inside.
Feeling all, I know nothing,
Only gravity like lunar
An elevator sensation,
Inside I'm a stranger.
Given choices to make
Which do I move
There's no second to guess.

Confusion presides,
Confrontation lies yawning
A meat-fatted lion,
By the kill of my pride
Lazy and dominant
Licking at my feet,
Waiting to rape me
Always at my side
My own devourer,
Despondency called me-
So I made it mine.

Hush
The silence tore it
I'm deafened now
Why can't I hear you anymore?
