I know my rhyme scheme isn't perfect on this, but bear with me  Friends are supposed to be there for each-other, to count on, to trust, not abandoned in some corner, as an iron bar, to rust. You have to treasure what you have, or before you know its gone, there is no longer any such thing, no right, no wrong. Yet there is one thing that must be said, all friends know it will come, but still all dread, the final ending to the pair, the bottomless pit of despair. Its not important, not right now, but the end always comes some time some how, the truth always comes out, sometimes, even for the best, it’s the end those dreadful words lets just be friends. The pain for one person, the misunderstanding for the other, loving not as a lover, but instead a brother. being a friend is what binds us together, should it ever be more, I hope it will last, but out friendship, forever, must hold fast, hold true, stay true to the end even if only to love like a friend. |

Well I think you did very well on the rhyme and it is really hard rhyming. If you want to practice just go to any of Kit McCallum's or Michael Mack's poems and there you can read perfect rhyme and it rubs off on you. I enjoyed your poem. |
