Not sure about this piece, but it's the first one I've written since early December, so...I also wrote another one a few minutes after I finished this, but I'm gonna post it in Open Poetry Forum. So...critisice away! ---------------------------------------------------- "Lilac Flowers" Sweet lilac flowers Distract the mind Mind of the corrupt Sifting through memories Bitter as laughter Joyous as death Lilac winds flow past Playing with emotions Emotions, memories embrace Vivid thoughts Drenched in lilac oil Crawl through my veins Lilac whispers beckon Beckon the mind Entangle the soul A blast of silence Overtakes the night Enter the darkness Lilac tears flow Stirring my own My own tears Time kisses wounds Covering past nightmares Creating new hopes A pale lilac moon Approaches the horizon Lilac clouds roll on If homosexuality is a disease, let's all call in queer to work: "Hello. Can't work today, still queer." |
