My Own Private Nothing This is a familiar road where i find my place and if you look down it right youll see my face if you listen carefully to my distant rambles youll understand why my life lay in shambles this road you see holds my future like and unwed bride awaits her suitor a hundred years and a thousand miles away and i will return to this road on my dieing day this endless asphalt is like my twin brother without even a word we know eachother you never stopped to ask my opinion or how i cared little boys hear no evil speak no evil just shut [edited by Moderator] up and when it was my turn i ran cause i was scared you did this to me i should call you father dragged me around the country i wasnt in school litteraly dragged me without my brother you wouldnt have cared dropped my sad, lonely, unfelt into the arms of my peers who thought me a fool to escape you i ran into crime a single rush to pass the time i took, i robbed, i stole now im in this hole without a life but a movie role from father to son the cycle turns young from old manhood he learns an empty hole where my heart should be burns with no lessons my life falling apart cant you understand took to many drugs drunk fell the hardest when i reached your hands returned to the roads i knew a car going nowhere the stars shine through same i stared at as a child only they understand i turned so wild one by one the forgive i tune in a song silently cry whatever went wrong this is a familiar road where i find my place if you look down it right youll see my face a hundred years a thousand miles away this road will be my father until my dieing day w [This message has been edited by Sunshine (01-24-2003 06:59 AM).] |
