The cauldron speaks of fires burning,
hints of powers cloaked in darkness.
Incantations, murmured voices
spark to flame the demon chorus.

Striking minor chords of egress
to forgotten rites held solemn,
from dim corridors of memory
calling forth the shadow realm.

Where abominations gather
in the mouldered words un-spoken,
grimly held in fabled prisons
hidden from the light of day.

The cauldron speaks of fires burning,
dare not listen, lest they waken
age old visions from their slumbers,
to the present, where might stay.

Doc,
I see you haven't lost your touch. Very macabre, more so because it's possible to also be reality.

Kethry,
Thanks, my friend. Too many H.P.Lovecraft novels during my formative years, I suspect.

Doc is my nickname sometimes. Heh.

I like this piece, especially the second line of the last stanza. Very intimidating. XD

Eromyna,
Thanks. Caught your tag in open, are you by any chance related to "Eromreven"? If so "Eop" sends his regards.
