between space and time

I'm lost
tumbling downward in an endless black space
   where nothing can be clear    or seen
grabbing aimlessly for a ledge    failure
and plunging deeper
Occasionally   wispy faces    of people known
flashing images   of things done   places seen
and millions of opportunities             lost
Plummeting   rolling head over heels    deeper
into the lonely abyss          of my mind

past the abyss, even deeper,
finding the silence in solitude............
until im ready to reenter it all........
it all comes and goes round and round , doesnt it?
