shrug it off
a glancing blow
of just another pounding day

spit it out
for bleed of mouth--
and wish the water wash away

struggle through another round.

jab and duck
dive and sway--
let your feet dance energy.

avoid the ropes
claim center ring--
be the blow before you swing--

that place where silence is a sound...

Surely this is happening--
catching cheers of the surreal--
wonder why they feel such glee?
Don't they know the pain I feel?

Bob and weave
leave only wind--
in place, to catch the cuff

I was so lonesome,
I took some comfort there

Yeti like!

(smiling) No head butting please....

brick walls do not give way to sheer will without blood being shed..
