Your lilting voice, that soft Irish tone so often used in prayer, Your voice, a harsh scream bouncing off the walls, stripping away the joy of others, Those hands, lovingly holding your rosary, quickly making the sign of the cross, Those hands, grabbing at the nearest bottle and pushing me violently away, Such beautiful eyes, staring skywards towards the heavens, Such unfeeling eyes, full of contempt, looking through me, round me, anywhere but at me, So I am tired of your hypocrisy, We look so alike but there is nothing of what you are in me [This message has been edited by anya (09-17-2002 04:36 PM).] |

Going on a wild guess here, I'm saying that this is the same person, but one is the "public" image, the other the true self. That, or it's schizophrenia. Either way, I liked this piece! |

Anya, I didn't think of it as schizophrenia but something soft and quiet out of a Joycean novel, perhaps? Mike |
