An even line, beneath the rim.
Fortitude of self within.
A fine line's gold, beneath the edge--
just enough to make lips dread.

A fan of fingers behind glass--
leaves of tea portend the past--
patterns lie in future's spread.
Saturn sighs in voice of dead.

Just enough to make me weep.
I search for you--within tea leaf.

hmmmm....I tend to be partial to "oolong" but at night? a combo of hibiscus and passionflower, lemon balm, and just a taste of honey and cinnamon stick....oooooh....

thanks all...I LIKE tea...but danged if I don't LOVE coffee..but it makes me smoke thrice as much, I fear...

The way you take a series of images and bring them together to form a setting and moment in time in your poetry is indeed impressive. This is no exception.
