Mankind Walking a tightrope Our destiny is still unclear Supreme greatness or eternal damnation Billions of minds shattered with grief Death screams echoing through time and space The universe scared by human misery Overloading with departing souls Our grand fathers proved themselves indomitable Lest we forget their terrible sacrifice In the icy grip of apocalypse again Ours could be the stars and all that exists Are we worthy of survival Judgement day is upon us |

Hmmmm...it's certainly interesting...won't deny that. I have a lot of friends that would completely concur with this piece... |

I like the Zen concept of living in the moment. For when one lives in the now, they don't relive the pains of the past, and they don't borrow trouble from the future---and what you speak of, would definitely add worries to my today! Powerfully written--and scary! You posted it in the right forum! Tee Hee Earth Angel |

Good one, Zall. I guess the onrush of Sept. 11 poetry is pretty much inevitable... In Hiding |
