Moved from a shack to a barn

The path narrows
Overgrown over time
And shortens, all the while

A contrary trace
Of bristle thorn briar
And stumble root

It is paved with
The settled detritus
Of previous passages

Ground into a grasping
Gumbo, by countless
Timorous treadings

Crone fingered limbs
Reach, slap and scratch
At your face and shoulders

You make your way through
This tree tunneled darkness
Until finally
It ends

In reply to "which way do we go?", the answer was never "straight", but, "progressively forward".

This seems real, unlike the studied feel of the movie with a similar name.

I loved it, wranx. *passes a branch*

Thanks Mike, *swats a skeeter* Haven't seen the flick, *flicks said, dead bug(ger)* I'm not much on Hollywood. (there are exceptions, not many).
