INNOCENCE Where was I, when life was perceived simple? When innocence, was a smile with a dimple. Where everyday, felt like Saturday afternoon. Care-free & comfortable, far from any doom. Did I miss it somehow? Skip past it all? Fly to the future? Walk down the wrong hall? Did the sign say adulthood, the one I couldn't read? Did I choose the wrong path? Plant the bad seed? Was it my actions, that turned it this way? Something I did? Something I failed to say? How did it all fall, on my tiny shoulders? A million little pebbles, rolled into the heaviest of boulders. "It's not my fault!" I try to convince, but there's no explanation, for lost innocence! ELMO (Yea I'm back, don't know for how long, but I am here, haven't had much time to write lately, my boyfriend & I just moved into a nice little apartment together ) |

You did a phenominal job with this one! I think all of us can relate to this "Do I have to accept reality, or can I just keep being innocent (or naive in it's purest, not necessarily sense). Great write! |

Cutiepie Elmo, Strangely, this reminds me of a book I'm reading -- The Lovely Bones. Anyway... Mike |
