I see you over there
again,
far across the black.
Still as a star,
glittering with expectancy,
your need flays me:
pulls lips from teeth
makes eyelids disappear.
With waste fleeing like hope
I wait,
shrieking no sound,
imploring you
(not again.......please...)

Turning to my left,
I run
over the dark plain,
panting in fear,
knowledge.

I glance over.
You lope easily to stay even.
growing....moving so fast...
malice crystalizing.....
I WON'T LOOK ANYMORE!
Your glee slowly explodes,
caressing me with shards of contempt.

I feel you closer.
I strain....fly...
becoming lighter....
chasing light....
the point ahead.
This angle of dread
accelerating to zero.
Your claws catching
nothing
but a feather
of awareness,
tearing
my eyes
open

I never aimed at reality; I aimed at truth. --Orson Welles

Damnation! I don't know what that thing is.
But, you can keep it the hell away from me!

something or someone trying to "gitchya?"

I'd read this awhile back, when I was "researching" you--you do have a way in the dark, but I think I prefer your lighter style of late...

shards of contempt that caress--
angles of dread accelerating to zero...

shaking my head over here...you amaze.

you are quite a ride mr. sites.
(and yes, I'm going to bed, I'm going...
