I walked in the park today And I thought about you. While The wind whispers sweet nothings To my ears, I recall how Once you told me about The dirges you used to Sing when you were alone And growing up. I would laugh Then but mostly I would just Smile--a strange, weird smile as You would put it--and You would quietly smile back And just rest your auburn Head against my shoulder on The same bench where I am Sitting now writing this. I have always thought that I would Be able to adjust freely To this--you not being Physically here. I do miss you A lot but sometimes after reading One of your letters or postcards, It feels like you're not In some faraway place at All. It's strange, really. There's A vast ocean separating us but You feel so near to Me. And things which used To be so trivial have Now become like momentary snippets Of your presence--that Jude Deveraux book you used to Read me your favorite passage From that particular page where The binding of the book Is almost torn from being Opened so much repeatedly, that Siamese Dream CD you used To play in your room (I still haven't got the chords For Mayonnaise), my old notebook Where you used to scribble Little passages of poetry and you Would never tell me whether Those passages were yours or from Another poet. It's only been months but It feels like it's been A long time since you've gone. I woke up the other day Half expecting you to call Me on the phone telling Me that I forgot to wake You up and now I would Have to accompany you to School because you're running late. I guess I'm still not much Of a morning person. I hope your Mornings are fine, too. I hope You think of me like I think of you whenever I fix My breakfast. I guess I miss the little Things too that made our Days together worthwhile. It's starting to be dark Now and I can already feel The cold dusk breeze. The Bell from the school across The street rings and in A moment, little boys and little Girls will be running home. I guess it's time for me To be home, too. And Though I wish that it be Sooner, I know you'll be home, Too, someday. |

There is a very interesting weave of words here...a very good story it seems..I loved this.. For all who watch.Dare you say hello? Come in and ask the questions that are on your mind, but spare me your judgement until you truly sipped of me. |
