i stopped, today to take a look at nothing but an old tree my mother always smiles at when in full bloom it looked dead to me had an ominous gloom for i just didn't look long enough to see i wandered, today through places quite known as the everydays of scenery to me i never smile at when in full view they looked dead to me had a non-impressive hue for i just didn't wander long enough to see i wondered, today about life away from all forget success; forget wants of me i've tried so hard without focusing on you I looked dead to me had the wrong list of to-do's for i just didn't wonder long enough to see you i looked, today at everything that you are and have so galantly been for all that never understand you looked so alive to me that I stopped, today, and realized that I finally looked long enough to see what's most important to me. and so i'm dead no more stopping, wandering, wondering or looking for i'm alive now with you and staying long enough to see it all... Well done! excellent poetry. The imagery is stark and depressing, This really sets the mood. Due to circumstances beyond your control, you are master of your fate and captain of your soul. |

Your Mom would be proud. A beautiful poem, and I think I'll stay around "long enough to see it all" EveGnosis! |
