Steel bands of pain engulf my heart
God knows, it should not have to be
that our love time be cut so short
I've left behind a part of me.

It hurts more than you'll ever know
such brief respite from year of pain
to fly away, watch it all go
to question if your care was feigned.

I'm falling through a warp in time
I'm going backwards the wrong way
too far from you, and joy sublime
Oh how I wish I could have stayed.

If you had asked, said just one word
I'd never, ever leave your side
but those are things I've never heard
you hold your thoughts from me, inside.

A year already? Surely not? Time moves on, but sometimes hurts do not.... *hugs* We'll struggle through together eh? What else is there to do??

that, i know, would be the death of me- trying to figure out which emotions and actions were truly felt and which were faked.....(((Big Cuddles))). its horrible feeling like you do, you did a great job of conveying your feelings in this poem catalinamoon.i really do hope things get better soon- hope the pain fades in time
