White is black and black is white. In this day, forever night. In this madness, slowly creeping, lies a poison, quickly seeping. Hold fast to the break of time, but soon release the joy sublime. Black is white and white is black. In this world, no turning back. In the fire, quickly burning, stands a prophet, slowly turning. Killed for spreading words of joy, Harsh the pay in God's employ. White is black and black is white. Harsh and blinding is the light. In this life, forever failing, are the mortals fast prevailing. Who will take the prophet's robe? Who will bear the prophet's load? Why is it that we prepare for war like precocious giants, and for peace like retarded pygmies..... |

Why indeed. Who left the mortals in charge, anyway? I want to have a talk with the chief. |

thanks for the responses. BTW, the chief is currently unavailable, you'll have to wait until you die. Anyways, looking forward to posting more poems. (and reading all of yours) |
