Emptiness burns within me,
Searing my insides,
Leaving behind blackened heartache...and charred remains of trust.
Memories of misused love scatter the feathery ashes.
Hollowness comsumes me, blinding me with darkness.
Tiny flames of what might have been gently flickering, licking at tender thoughts..
Threatening an inferno of scorching pain.
