ROLLER COASTER

Up & down my heart goes,
loving with all I've got.
How happy i am when you notice me,
how sad when i think you've forgot.
This ride it goes on forever,
& at times I just want out.
Loop da loop, around again.
What is this all about?
Together forever,
then just friends,
you say you still love me,
but then the ride ends.
No more phone calls,
not even a quick letter.
Is that too hard?
If i forgot u would that be better?
Yes the ride was worth it,
but the fun ended too fast.
I want to ride again.
I want to make it last
Savor every loop & turn,
appreciate the ride a little more.
Let go of the screams freely,
not cover my eyes like before.

I think I've always used the roller coaster analogy, it just seems so appropriate. Some times you just have to hang on for the ride, knowing that in the end it will even out!
