What happened to happiness? Somehow the circumstance resolved to tears. What happened to love unending? Somehow it all was just pretending. What happened to my broken heart? Somehow it seems to be just a token. Of what use to be. What happened to the years we shared? Did I just cry them into a million tears. The many fears I thought, hit me slap in the face, Standing here looking into your eyes, I realize what happened, I fail out of love with you. Dark clouds hover above me, Storms set in tonight, Lightning flashes across the skies, But aftermaths have a calmness, With the Sun shining once again. |

"But aftermaths have a calmness, With the Sun shining once again." I'm still waiting for that calmness you speak of, but I have faith it will be here soon. Excellent work, the ending to this poem leaves one feeling hopeful. Well done  |

Alan thank you, the storms still hover but every once in awhile the sun shines, Jonas, I still am trying to claim the hope that keeps me going. Without it I'm like a ship lost at sea so sometimes you have no choice. |

thank you so much leafseranade, it is so hard at times but then it's harder crying all the time. It weakens your very heart and soul. |
