What is the most perfect thing in life?
Is it love, is it money, is it happiness?
Is it unique to every person?

Perhaps perfection is not found in an idea or a possession.
Maybe perfection lies in things that are there for all people in the world.

Maybe perfection is sitting on a beach and looking out at the ocean, realizing you are so small compared to this massive body of water, discovering that looking out you can’t imagine that this ocean will ever end, but realizing it eventually will.

But maybe perfection is the understanding that the end of your ocean is someone else’s beginning, and they are thinking the exact same thing as you.

Maybe perfection, is the awareness that you are not alone.

Perfection is not what we want, it's what we strive for.  And because we strive for this, without achieving it, we can't become perfect.  Perfection would mean that we are all identical.  Do we want that?

Eternal life without the darkness isn't life at all- it is a lobotomy.

Perfection, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder and is also relative to the subject in question, I think you made a "perfect" representation of one of man's major questions about life. The ocean was a nice simily to perfection as well, anyways great poem, keep writing, we need more work like yours and no one can do work like yours better than you right?

Wow, that was touching....It made me think about perfection and why everyone strives to achieve it.  It would be a rather boring world if everyone were perfect!
My favorite line is, "Maybe perfection, is the awareness that you are not alone."
I also enjoyed the part about the ocean, the end is the beginning.  I really can't wait to read another!

Everyone's idea of perfection is different, but as Bright Eyez said, if we we're all perfect then the world would be a boring lpace with no individuality, anywayz great poem...my favourite line was "is it unique to every person"?...that is so true.

Nice one here........perfection. I don't think it exists, period.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

Interesting ideas from everybody here, I'm going to say that to realize that something is perfect would ruin it's perfection.  The perfect things in life are the things we do not see.  Does that make sense?  Anyway, great job on the poem

i remember perfection.
it was just there for a split second.

then it all crumbled.
and i started building again.

it was a beautiful and magical thing.
and thats all i remember.

(haha, i modify it and its a poem)
great poem carebear
