His family hates me But I love him so I’ve heard things That have been said About the way I dress Of even the way I talk I don’t claim to be perfect But those things are a part of me And so is the love I hold for him We’ve been together Four months today And this just started a month ago Why wait 3 months And then decide to hate me? Nice poem. Well, I can't claim to be a mind-reader, but if they just started to hate you, they may feel you're getting to serious with their little boy. Maybe taking him away from them more now than before. However, love is rare, and if you two like each other that much, then I say, you two are the only ones that matter, even if his family is acting like that. ouch, that can be rough when the parents don't take kindly to the new love of their childs life, but then again would you really want to be their idea of perfection...anyways I hope things work out between you and your guy. >¶Øʆ< |

I agree with Jenn, I think his family is just a little un-easy with the idea of their little boy in a serious relationship. Families are very close knit, especally in our state (as you know!). I think that you should talk to them about it. Great way to express your emotions, though! Hmm... made me think of Romeo and Juliet here, families hate eachother (or in this case jus' you) and try an' get in the way... umm.. okay, not sure where I was going with that, guess I'm just saying don't let his family get in the way of your relationship.c "Sa souvraya niende missian ye." \ I am lost in my own mind. |

Alright something I can relate to! Seriously the situation SUCKS, and I've been there before. For the first maybe 3-4 months of our relationship, I was convinced my boyfriend's parents hated me. I couldn't figure it out. His mother always acted very proper around me and I felt like she and my boyfriend's father were watching me so close that I couldn't mess up. It actually probably lasted longer. Yes, there's a point to me telling you all of this, not that I like to hear myself talk in my head. I just stayed with it and bit my lip, and eventually they just warmed up, even though it seemed like I had to prove myself time and time again. I know your situation isn't exactly the same, and I'm wasting a lot of space, so I'll shut up and mind my own business now. Tamma --- Well I guess you have to prove them wrong now don't ya. Don't try to find the answers to the questions you have right now. It's only gonna drive you to the brink of confusion. There is only one way of knowing the answer and that's asking the cousins themselves the reasons.
