Can't judge me by my black hair, or even the chocolate colour of my skin. Can't judge me based on my features you don't know who I'am. What I'm trying to tell you simply and true. If you judge me by what I've listed, I sure don't want to be you. People like you can't tell a dream from reality, people like you are much much too greedy. You can't distinguish what's right and what's wrong. There's people like you, that's why the world can't get along. Now did you like what I've just done, when it backfired and reverse, it's you I made fun. People stereotype one way or another. Seems as each day, we make enemies, hate on one another. Names and racist remarks can't get you no where, instead traditions, cultures, language, is what we should we share. When will our world hold nothing but peace? When will we able to gather and meet? Be and individual even when we are a whole. Be able to unite everyone and fill up this hole. Talk is cheap, prejudice is too. If you still think that it's right, then I would hate to be you |

You take a strong stance on this isssue, one that I share with you. Prejudice is unacceptable in any form...thank you for sharing, well written piece! *Krista Knutson* I'm a slow dying flower In a frost-killing hour The sweet turning sour and untouchable... -Natalie Merchant |

"If you judge me by what I've listed, I sure don't want to be you." Prejudice is a horrible thing, stirred from ignorance. We need to learn to look beyond appearences and see the root of the person, the only thing that counts. Thanks for sharing. I never encountered racism until I came to England (not saying that there is a lot of racism here, but it has gradually been increasing)...before I used to live in Italy, everyone was friendly and stuff but here was really a wake up call that ppl are different and some even ignorant. Thanx for all your comments |

Racism is a disgusting concept... i'm glad that you know how superior you are to these people. "I would hate to be you" is a good attitude to have. I couldn't have put it better myself. -Allan Eternal life without the darkness isn't life at all- it is a lobotomy. |

Racism is horrible. I know how it feels. People judge me because I'm Puerto Rican. One time when I was in Boston some kid asked me if I could speak english, and asked while pretending to be mentally retarded. I simply told him that I spoke better english than him and that I was tri-lengualed. Oh well, so much for ignorance is bliss. I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I'm in love with my shadow I admire it daily |

I take the stance that we are all equal... and I also believe that one day racists will wake up and see the world in it's true form!! I live in a neighbourhood well known in Brisbane as a "Bad area" and a lot of people take a step back when they find out where Im from... It isn't a bad neighbourhood, we are a lower class area, though there are hard workers too, we have our share of Aboriginals, Islanders, Veitnamese and Chinease, and yeah I guess they do have their individual differences, but I am not scared to walk the streets after dark like some people are... If you don't stir trouble, you won't get trouble... I love the area I live in and I love the people in it... even though I don't know them!! Melz!! You can't hurt me anymore than I have hurt myself already... |

This seems to be the way of society these days. It's really a shame. Racism has really done some horrible things all over the world, such as promoting violence and the like. Ignorant people like this aren't worth anyone's time, and you have a great attitude towards the situation. Nice work, thanks for sharing. --Marie Don't ever be someone's slogan, because you are poetry. |
