A confessional poet.....that's what they tell me I AM...who r they?the AUTHORITY figures of my life blah......well here is a poem of whatever you want it to be.....blah I watch as he sits across from me the emotions simmering on his face like some sort of movie the pain of his glaze, ripping my defense to shreads, pulling each thought and turning it against me, twisting agony Why did I wait? that's all he seems to be able to say, then he gets angrier at my thoughts of not caring what happens I try to placate him with phrases of no worries, he tells me, "cut out this crap, you have to have these surgeries" he doesn't want to understand that I'm afraid it won't help against whats happening to my body Maybe he's just as afraid of what will happen as I am.... I don't really know,I've got try to hold on to his hand and get through this with him by my side Regina for those who say I'm their friend, u know me not well for if u did u would not stay around anymore to watch me fall away. |

Hey hon. You know that sometimes you have to take someone else's word for it, especially in health cases. Surgery is a good thing, it's just taking stuff out of your body that doesn't belong there. Regina, Your poem shows a great deal of emotion as well as truth. I can only have faith that everything will turn out all right. If you ever need someone to lean on you know where I am. I like this poem. I haven't had the chance to read many of your poetry... But I will get around. As far as the surgery goes... What's wrong? I bet there was just a few uncertain thoughts before hand and my hope is that all went well. I hope to be able to read more of your poetry in the future. Ina,I'm confused. Maybe I've been out of the loop for too long but I do not understand what you are conveying in his poem. I understand what you are saying in it, but not how it relates to you as a confessional writer, as I believe you put it. The poem was excellent, but sad. I hope everything is OK.
