I know a lot of ppl have the wrong idea about raves and ravers and that reallys makes me angry..grrr. this is what its like for alot of ravers, but this one is all about me!!lol It all starts out softly then it gets loud, very loud my body swaying to my eternal rythm, i sense the music I see the green, pink, yellow coloured glows How I detest those who are to violent and fake in their dancing computer generated music sets the beat, slow, fast and then slow again I try not to draw attention to my body but eyes always seem to scan my body while i move, I can feel but can not see their eyes for mine are closed I do not need the drugs to help my senses get in tune with the music or my feelings I enjoy all the bodies dancing, my pants so wide and my whit shirt rides up my tanned stomach, where I jewel rests sparkling I see all those people with neclaces, pacifers and eyes red, there is nothing in my way I feel light and calm I see through clear eyes, while I know some friends see through drugged eyes too bad for them!!!i laugh away all my troubles while swaying to the music Then I see a friend, my heart, I see Brad coming to sway right next to me in his wide jeans and whit t-shirt Regina [This message has been edited by Ina (edited 01-13-2001).] |

Great poem Regina! I like the mood you set during it. You once again are very good at making poems that really make you feel like you are there. I could see everything you described so nicely and perfectly. It's good that you promote clean fun without drug use. San, wasn't your poem about a river? Anyway, Regi......the fact is......most ravers are druggies. Raves are the mecca for drug users.....believe me.  I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I'm in love with my shadow I admire it daily |
