I have never known I could care so dearly,
For someone lik you, I have seen so rarely.
Every day I watch you go by,
And under my breath I let out a sigh.
I know that we aren't really friends,
But wo's to say love doesn't go round bends.

Each day I want to talk to you,
But I tell myself it's not what I should do.
Because I am afraid of what you might say,
And I'll turn my face and run away.
My head tells me where to go,
But my heart tells me what, I wish not know.

Please tell me you understand,
And know I am not here to demand.
I have to tell you this now, so I can ease my pain,
And I'm not sure I'll say it again.
If you are noble and know what's right,
Then don't make this look like a hopless plight.

My heart is in the right place I know,
But only that, will not make your feelings show.
So tell me if you care for me,
The way that I wish it to be.
Love is true, love is pure,
And if you love me then you'll know for sure.

Nice! Lovely Valentine's post.
It is difficult to be in such a situation, but you expressed your emotions clearly and elegantly. The rhyme scheme was simple, and it complimented the poem very nicely.
Welcome to Passions. I hope to see you post more. For now, check out Jeremy's challenge. That might be a nice way to get to know us a bit better.

Starr~ Beautiful poem and wonderful first post!!! All I wish to say to you is Follow your heart even if your head tells you otherwise. Sometimes your eyes as well as mind can play games on you but your heart can not lie. Good luck with this and love always. I know you will enjoy it here as much as I do. OH!!
