Why can't you just tell the truth?

Hmm... Thought-provoking. I like this particular piece, the last line makes me think about whether or not I have been in such a situation.

ive gotten into a lot of trouble too many times in this same topic, i dont know WHY i am replying but here it goes...

do you really want him to be honest always?
or do you only want him to swear your love towards you?
because if you really want him to be honest always youre in for a long ride that might end in a situation you dont want to be in.
you should be careful for what you wish for...

anyways, great poem.

All of your second and forth lines rhyme except in the second stanza, that's just something that I noticed while reading this. Nice job on the poem, post some more

I am in a similar situation with my boy friend. For the longest time, I just wanted him to be honest but when he was honest with me, I realized I really didn't want that at all. What I really wanted to hear was: "Of course I love you, love being with you and will always feel that way" -- that's not what he said and it caused alot of heartache for me. Be careful what you wish for because the truth may not be what you want to hear.

Anyway, good poem. It hit home.

I really hope they start tellin you the truth, its not fair for you to be believing lies and for them to not care. Show them the poem or talk to them about it and maybe they'll realize what their doin to you. I hope things do get better tho...
