Fascinating. I like your blending of yourself into the "God" in technology. It sorta reminds me of V-Ger in Star Trek. There's a lot of other stuff I can say of this poem, but that would take all day, lol. But I will say that much of mythology comes from the subconscious. It seems that you have said here that technology is often no different. Necessity is the mother of invention, but then how we put those inventions together can an art in itself, just like the expression of the subconscious often is. |

This was a different perspective. I liked this....very future based. I am still trapped in the natural ways of life.....I'm hooked on nature. oh well.... ![]() I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I'm in love with my shadow I admire it daily |

not sure how to interpret this one... is it a critique of God, heralding Him as man-made or a critique of society, bemoaning their loss of faith in this age of technology... |

Not too sure bout this one. Is it saying God is merely technology? That in the modern world our god is our computer and faxes? Or what? Hmmmmm... Intersting tho. xoxo Jenn ![]() "I'm a big, big, girl, in a big, big world, it's not a big, big thing if you leave me, but I do feel, that I will miss you much..." Emilia |

Thanks for your replies. Just to clarify, I was trying to express my own belief system, how I put my faith in the powers of technology and mankind. I was comparing my appreciation for humanity to what someone else may think of their God. This poem is completely true to me in any sense. Hope it gives you all a better understanding of me, as was my intent by posting this. Thanks again. -Allan We used to hate people, now we just make fun of them. I get what you're saying, way to express it in the poem! "Disagreements stimulate thought, thought stimulates action, and action stimulates life." --Lakewalker http://www.thehungersite.com |

Never seen a tanka in here, but Ive heard of them. Nice description in few words. Keep up with these cool styles. Jeremy "I believe that man will not merely endure: he will prevail. -William Faulkner (Noble Prize Speech.) |
