I once read a quote
That made me think of you.
I smiled and committed it to memory:
“If I could reach up and hold a star
For every time you’ve made me smile,
The whole evening sky
Would be in the palm of my hand.”

Saying this quote to myself,
I smile and reach to the sky,
Plucking yet another ball of fire from
The increasingly darker celestial sphere.
It will go in my collection, which no longer fits in my palm.
I place it in my pocket with all the rest…
All the millions of stars, keepsakes of the smiles you bring.

I liked this poem. very well thought out and written. Great job on it!
