Struggles

She sits
Sipping her coffee she deserves
What is she thinking twirling the straw?
She looks
For my comment it's dry at the back of my throat
What does she expect, she choaks me up
Everyone else can see who she has told
My innocuous remark rings within mine ears
And tingles her neck to twist towards me
Really. That is what I said (if I could remember)
The center of a joke I wonder when she's coming back
Is this jazz great or what I hum
What do these people think they are looking at?
It's not as if I poored her drink in my lap
She threw it there herself
Bamboozled and such but alas
It was her drink not mine
But the pants, the pants! (put on a show)
Red with rage
I order an iced frappe to go
What's vengeance with a dry throat?
At least it's cold
