I thought we'd always be together,
In eachothers arms inseperable.
Never to glance another's way,
Our love was indestructable.
But now my confidence has faded,
So did the sparkle in our eyes.
Proclaiming eachother as soulmates,
Led eachother into complete lies.
Its so strange because to me,
It seems like it's been happening all of this time.
Our boat has been slowly sinking,
And you didnt even make an effort to try.
So Looking back on the good times,
what are we left with but tears.
Looking forward on what could have been,
In the upcoming not so glamorous years.
Love has its own direction,
So out of control from our hands and minds.
I just fall to my knees and look up to the stars,
And wish that it wasnt our time.

Whoa... this one hit home so hard. I know exactly what you mean. I'm goint through just that myself. This one's going straight to my library. You described everything so well... very impressive. Wowers.. I liked this. Well done indeed.
