The way I used to
I might not have the same look in my eyes
The look I had when I was with you
I might not go too far
I might not go at all
I might not love anyone
The way I loved before
I might stay where I am
It might a while
It might take forever
I don’t really know
I’m not sure
I might not be the same
When you see me next time
But I will be
I will laugh
I will smile
I will look
I will go that far
And I’m sure I will love
Just not for a while
Not while you’re in my head
I need some time to understand
You were never mine
I lost one of my best friends
But maybe I didn’t
I have so many thoughts
I have so many ideas
I need time
I want the memories
I want to smile
When I look back
And see you were in my life
But to see you were there
You need to get out sometime
I will always be there for you
I will always love you
I will always remember you
I don’t wanna loose you
But I got to let you go
And when I do
I will love like I never been hurt
I will live like today was the last day
And I will dance like no one is watching

This poem rocks! The ending was awesome. It showed that you are not only strong enough to live for yourself, but you loved enough to let him go. Very impressive show of your talent for your first post. I hope to see more of your replies and posts. Welcome
