When I saw you tonight, I felt... Abolutely nothing. And it was the oddest thing ever because last time I saw you, my heart sank to my ankles and wouldn't beat again until you walked away--out of my line of vision. I expected a repeat performance and even held out my hands to catch my heart as it plummetted... But it never moved. It didn't even pause or skip a beat, And my mind was working just fine, also. Old memories of you (and me) surfaced and I could visualize it all so well. But I could not seem to remember all the nights we stayed up talking... All the beautiful things you said to me... The long letters you'd write... Or the way you made me feel like I was everything important in the world to you. I guess my heart had finally realized all that my mind had known all along. You never did anything special for me. So when you show up at my doorstep and expect for my heart to fall into your hands, The only thing you will catch is cold air as I blow off your words. "Do not marry the one that you can live with. Marry the one you cannot live without." |

Amazingly well done. I really liked the attitude given off in this poem. I really thought this poem rocked! Hope to see more! I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |

Chicka, I loved this Poem, I could some what realate to it, but not really.. I am glad that you are not going to let anyone hurt you or make you feel like you are worth nothing.. Because you are worth sooooooo much!!!!!, I have never had such a GREAT FRIEND as you. I hope no one ever makes you feel like you are worth nothing cause if they do, I'll be to prove them wrong....
