I thought this poem rocked, but what's up with the Phoenix stuff?
Anyhow, this poem really hit me hard. Awesome job!

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

Oke...here's the deal with the phoenix thing. A few of my friends have their own little nicknames that nobody really calls them, but when they write a letter or a poem it is used. I'm not sure why. But I figured I'd do it too but I couldn't think of anything I wanted. My friend Ryan (Elessar)thought that since the phoenix is sort of "my thing" that I should pick that. So I did. Anyway, glad you liked the poem.
