ok, this is my first poem or w/e..it's to(or about..) me best friend mr. bennerz(*hugz you*)...and, i was forced to put it up *stares at bennerz*..just be nice in the comments if you even comment on it *pwease* ..oh, and the lining up is prolly off because of copy & paste..sorries..and thanx..i'm out. It seems like I met you yesterday It feels like I’ve known you forever You know me more than I know myself at times It’s you who always knows when I’m not okay You have a sixth sense to tell you something’s up It seems to be flawless, as you yourself sometimes seem to be But we all have flaws, Both you and me and everyone else And whenever those flaws pop out into the open, It seems some disaster is never far behind I know my flaws, and I know them all too well I can always feel the fire burning inside me, It always finds its own way out, Whether through my pen or out my mouth, It never fails to remind me of its control It controls me, My temper, My anger, My rage I can’t seem to be able to fight it anymore, For on so many occasions, I’ve let it all go, I’ve said things without thinking, I’ve hurt too many people with my cruelty, Whether because of true anger or because I’m ‘just tired’ I’ve had to learn the lesson, in my case, that ‘words speak louder than actions’ And today, of all days, I’ve crossed the line I said one too many things, I let myself go too far, I blurted out without thinking yet again, I hurt the one I feel closest to, The one I rely on, The one I need, for help, for love, for joy So, I’m asking you, Begging you, Just answer me one question- How do you say sorry to the person who knows you best, Who knows your flaws, Your fears, Your pain, Your joy, Your love, Your dreams, Oh how do you say sorry to the person who knows you best? *casually walks into the room* *spots a poem on the wall* *sits down and reads the poem* *then in a sudden movment he jumps on annas back and screams ANNA!!!!!!!!* hiya hun welcome to passions your gonna love it here its lots o fun and the ppl are really nice *except allan he is evil and beats up small children* and anna ya already know wut i think of the poem its so sweet *sniff* see i told ya ppl would like it your good hun so write more *hugs anna bye bye* cya later hun ben redshaw the great out!!! i am what i am and that is all that i am and all that i shall ever be. |

Whoa... talk about poems which strike a chord in you which few poems manage to strike. ^^ This is the second poem that I've read in my life that has managed to strike this chord, and I have to say that I am definitely impressed at the emotions that are hidden in this work... even though they're not behind the work, nor did they drive the work, I don't think... somehow, their existence strikes a really nice chord. I thought the poem itself was moving and the familiarity of it all sort of made me weak at reading it... but it was beautifully done and asks a question that I'm sure some people ask every now and then and illustrates a situation which is probably one which is very painful to relive. I don't know... my heart ached when I read this poem. ^_^ Beautiful piece of work. This is definitely an excellent first piece, and definitely, I guess we have Ben to thank for dragging you out of the closet and posting an exquisite piece... hehe ^_^ I thought it was wonderful... a bit painful to read, but nevertheless absolutely gorgeous. - holatuwol |

WELCOME TO PASSIONS!!!! to tell you the truth, I can totally relate to this, cuz I'm the same way. sometimes i lose my temper and hurt everyone in my path...it's a horrible thing...but, you expressed your feelings so well in this poem! great job!
