dont know if this makes sense or not...but there it is newayz... i heard you crying all alone a call for help with chances slim i heard you dying in the dark a womb of protection from yourself i heard you asking 'why me?' an unanswerable question asked anyways i heard you whispering 'God, save me' a question of trust or a plee of mercy i heard you saying 'thank you, God' a mircale sent when chances were slim “A single choice can build destinies,or destroy them.” |

Well done here tiff but not your best. Still a good read! I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |

I gleaned several different messages from this poem. One was with regards to abortion. Although I do not agree with the notion of intelligence on the part of a foetus, this still conveyed that same message that Peretti's Tilly conveyed. I also gleaned a message of hope for patients with debilitating disseases. Perhaps the poem described one such patient. Finally, I gleaned a message of hope for those afflicted with sociological and psychological problems. Perhaps it was addressed to a person on the streets, living in complete defiance, but at the same time scared to death of the future and of the world around him/her. "If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh" |

*Sniffles* That was sad, Tiff. Here I was thinking you were all perky! *Pokes you* Though, I suppose our inner thoughts are best conveyed through poetry. Anyways, I liked it. You're a much more in depth person than I perceived you to be. (I'm not saying you're shallow! Just happy!) *Phew~* Don't hurt me for that one! Keep up the great composing! As did fractal007- My first thought was abortion. And like Fracta- I don't think the fetus thinks...Just my opinion though. Anyway- Nice poem. [This message has been edited by Spice (edited 06-08-2001).] |
