This was the first poem I wrote, to my boyfriend in 7th grade, during a little "breakup." Happy to say that I can't wait to show it to him now, as we are still together and in 11th now

It was my first one so cut me a break

Why I loved your eyes

You always asked me why I loved your eyes so much...

They sparkled like a starry night.  The kind of night that you return to childhood just for a few moments, and wish on a star that the one you love will love you back, forever.

They were bluer than the bluest ocean.  The ocean that holds as many secrets underneath as you do.  So many unsolved mysteries..so much to wonder about.

They were your other mouth.  The mouth that didn't speak with words, but just a gaze that seemed to last forever.  It said much more than your lips would ever have to.

And that, sweetheart, is why I loved your eyes so much.

This is so sweet. Staying together from 7th to 11th is an amazing accomplishment. Congratulations for that alone.

Great job on this poem!! Even if it was your first, it was still pretty good, although I can personally detect the age variable therein.

It's not a bad thing, it's just different.
Nice work, I await your more recent poetry.

Yeah sunshine..I think he is the one. But I have moved to Minnesota and he lives in Florida now. Just a minor setback, if its true love then everything will work out .
