What is a friend?
Are they always there?
To help you when your sad,
Should they always care?

A friend should always be there,
Through thick and through thin.
To wipe away your lonely tears,
So in the end you always win.

Friends should not lie,
Or treat you bad.
They should not say mean words,
That often make you mad.

So would someone please tell me,
What did I do wrong?
For so may people to treat me bad,
It's happend for so long.

They think that I should be there,
Whenever life get's tough.
Even though they're not here for me...
I think I've had enough!

I would drop everything,
If you needed me by your side.
But would you do it for me?
You said you would but you lied.

"Friends forever,"
We all once said.
But you guys don't respect me
Like you once did.

I'm leaving this friendship,
But never will I forget.
The great times we had,
Which I will never regret.

Well done here. Wonderful poem about your friend, the message was great.

Ashley, I'm glad to read this poem... although I know the feelings you are saying in here as you've told me before. You know where I stand on this.

heavens angel,

i think we have all suffered through the stage when we find that our "friends" aren't exactly willing to commit to our ties after all

there are no easy solutions to ease the ache but i sincerely hope that you will feel better soon....

You have no idea how much that stanza relates to my friendships in the past..i can only name a few people i've been friends with throughout my life. Some things happen for a reason and i guess the loss of these friendships was just meant to happen although i am sorry...::hugs::
