As I lay me down to sleep,
My heart stutters –
          And skips a beat.
I pray for our souls to keep,
But we’re losing –
          Them to the heat.

When nights grow cold,
Hearts as one –
          We’ll be together.
Each other’s arms we’ll hold,
On our bodies –
          Sweat will glitter.

Those girls on TV don't know that being
36-24-36 doesn't mean a thing unless
you got the face to back it up

Tamma, I think that out of all of your posts, I like this one best. It's really well written and I enjoyed reading it and I'm glad I get to be the first reply. Anyhow, if you want to talk about ANYTHING, I'm here. PPL at my school somehow wind up telling me EVERYTHING anyways, so I found I'm a pretty good listener.

Ooh, this is definitely my favorite of yours so far. ^^ hehehe Of course, I haven't read much of your work compared to the older members of this forum... x_X But! Nevertheless, I think this one has some of the softest imagery out of all of the poems that I've read of yours thus far. ^^ Very pretty, and lovely work... really really soft and warm...

Now, for some reason, I'm getting the image of velvet and satin... okay, something tells me that my imagination is getting carried away with me again... ^^; Ah, well... hehehe I enjoyed the poem! And I just thought that since this was my favorite of yours so far, I thought that I'd say so. ^^v You're a wonderful poet, and love to see more of your work! Enjoy life, write lots, and have a nice day!
