This one actually isn't about my ex!! I wrote it after a pretty rough fight with the female parental unit *LOL* it sucks, but oh well,I was MAD and needed to vent *LOL* haha I glare at my contorted expression I believe the mirror might break My red-brimmed eyes are swollen and my mascara trickles and streaks When will the tears stop running down I cry far too much, I always frown If I cry much more I just might drown In my own hatred for my being... I feel oh so worthless now “You’re so annoying, leave me alone” You treat me like such a child Your treatments, mom, I can’t condone When will the tears stop running down I cry far too much, I always frown If I cry much more I just might drown In my own misery and self-pity... What’s it going to take to live in less pain To laugh, to smile, to overcome I hope for a brighter day tomorrow but the scars are fresh, the damage done When will the tears stop running down I cry far too much, I always frown If I cry much more I just might drown In my own hopes and neglected wishes... "A dream is a wish your heart makes while you are fast asleep." |

Who said anything about communism, or suggested her mother was a communist? I must have missed it... Sara - Nice work on the poem, even if it was a bit negative. I hope you realize that you can talk to me whenever you feel the need, I might be there but busy and pretending I'm away (I do it to everyone, don't feel bad) so if it's important just say "I'd really really like to talk to you, Allan, it's important and you are such an awesome dude and your paradelles are always so cool and I just need your help because it would mean the world to me." Alright? Just remember that's our code phrase. ~Allan Build a man a fire, and he's warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life. |

This is a really heartfelt and emotional piece, and you wrote it beautifully. we all have problems with parents and writing generally helps me vent when they piss me off. i like this a lot, keep posting all your work. Sometimes, the things that go unsaid are the only things worth hearing. |

You did a good job expressing feelings that I can definitely relate to. I fight with my mom alot 2, and I know how it feels. This sounds like it could be a song. I like it alot. Hope things improve for u and your mama. ~*Nikki*~ ~*Of all the millions of people in the world, I'm just me.*~ |

*LMAO* Thanx for the replies everyone! Alan, Justine said "invasion of the COMMIE MOMMIES" because it's an inside joke with us *L* She calls her mom Hitler and I call mine whatever dictator name comes to mind... Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Castro... it's because our moms are psycho, in our minds, and they barely let us do anything cool *LOL* Hope you understand better now, for those of you who were totally lost Thanx again everyone! Such an expressive poem. Sara, look at it this way, no matter what she'll always be your mom, and one of these days, you'll realize how much her actions in her mind is all for your benefit. Geez, I'm sounding like my dad now might as well quit talking "So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, |

Let me add another "amen" to the chorus of parental problems. Great poem. "so when at times the mob is swayed to carry praise or blame too far, we may choose something like a star" --Frost |

Commie mommies.....none of those here. Hope things improve! Good poem! I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |
