everything screams to be touched. the river, today, swift and indigo-blue; and you, silvering into gray, smashing me into china-plate slivers - i've been here all along, waiting. soft-petaled, unfolding, i'm flat on my back pretending to fly, aching my way to sanity. your hands, your white tears - i'm filling up, overflowing, spilling down and taking over your longing. too young for anything else, i'm wearing flower-print dresses, dancing with you in my sleep, gathering bunches of nettles and roses until my hands bleed themselves pale - and the whole time, we're turning luminous, disintegrating, becoming transparent, coating ourselves with light as we shrink and explode. "I don't judge people, I just watch them till it's time to look away. I wanna look away now." - Kristin Hersh |

Yeaowch..... very dark love poetry. I'm really enjoying reading such a theme lately in the forums. I really love this one, it radiated power. Excellent work. ~Allan Build a man a fire, and he's warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life. |

This is incredible! Straight to the library with it. Thanks for posting. so when at times the mob is swayed to carry praise or blame too far, we may choose something like a star |

I love your poetry! You are such a great poet. I enjoyed reading this as I enjoyed reading all your work. I hope to read so much more from you. This poem was outstanding! I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |
