Willow's Secret:

The weeping willow stands alone
Upon its grassy mound.
Overlooking a lake unknown
Not wanting to be found.

The passing seasons run by fast.
Winter presently reigns.
Frosty cold will not always last.
But, oh, the nature pains.

The weeping willow lost its leaves,
And the lake froze so cold.
Nature's sorrow we seldom grieve,
A secret never told.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

Oh my, this is so solemn, I really love it.  Your new stuff is really impressive, Javier.
The feelings I got from this are indescribable, I think I've gotten the feel to start writing quality work again.
Thanks for the boost.  This poem seriously gave me a feeling in my stomach, amazing work man.
I'm adding it to my library.

This poem makes me think about how weird it would be if trees knew secrets. Maybe that willow is weeping for some unknown reason..Hmmm..Quite good, I like the rhyme scheme.

Oh jeez...now this is where the guilt comes into play because I didn't see this earlier.

This seriously made me want to read it over and over again. Has anyone told you lately that you rule? Well you do. This piece is simply unreal! It definitely has found a place in my library with all the other Dopey pieces.

Liz, you are always WAY TOO KIND....I wasn't going to post this because I felt it was crappy. Not completely, I mean it did have some nice things about it, but I felt it wasn't that good.
Thanks though, you all make me feel a bit better about my writing all the time.

I like the scene here and the weeping willow. How many of us know when we've lost our leaves and grieve in icy pain... All the world seems like a frozen lake, what once was full of wonders and and possiblity is now hard and unforgiving...

I just liked the thoughts brought up in my mind. Awesome Javier, just awesome.

This is a very insightful poem.  Do you write prose?  I can see you being great at short stories that provoke people to think, because you are a deep thinker.  Just to think you said so much is sucl a small poem...that's powerful!
